Bill Swegler raced in the Central
Division from 1962 to 1968. He was
from Hinesdale, Ill. In this race at Road America his engine failed but Bill did have success in many other races.

The date on this photo is unknown but
here Bill's daughter and possibly a
friend hold Bill's trophy at one of the
tracks. The photo doesn't reveal that
the color of his car was a
redish-orange.

This photo is of a Sunbeam raced out
of Saint Louis in 1963. The car sports
EP identification which of course only
in 63 did the cars run in E-Production.
If anybody can assist in further
identification please let me know.

Jim Forno at Watkins Glenn in an
E-Production Race.

Caesar Cone and Lloyd James at the Nationals at VIR in 1966.

Caesar Cone's Alpine at VIR. Caesar was recently chosen as driver of the year by the Alfa Romeo Owners Club.
He initially began racing in Alfas and continued to race them over the years.

Caesar on the Grid at VIR. Caesar sold this car to David George Hayes in Vancover, WA.

It was a 1961, SN# B9102334.

This is Jim Latimer in the Sports Car Forum prepared Alpine. Jim claims it as a 1964 in an ad in the SCCA Sports Car Wheel. Perhaps it is an SIII but delivered in 64.

This is the first turn after the main straight at Mid-Ohio. Notice my car close behind. Dan won the race.

H.J. Meyer told me that Jim's car was a factory prepared car. I thought that would be odd since it is LHD versus RHD but first thing you notice is the lack of a filler cap on the right rear fender...this was a detail on the factory cars that was common. Note the Series IV grill.

Not only does the rollbar suggest Sports Car Forum preparation but notice the "Sunbeam Owners Club" badge hanging below the Alpine script on the fender. This one looks like it might end up as debris in a competitors tire...
